UNSTOPPABLE DOOM PATROL 2 ON SALE NOW!
Also a bonus variant cover for issue 3 and the DOOMSCROLL!
Unstoppable Doom Patrol 2 is on sale now at all the best comic book shops. Here’s the solicit:
Explore the World's Strangest Superheroes' new headquarters, the Shelter, as they welcome their brand-new member, the Worm! Catch up with Niles Caulder, Mento, Flex Mentallo, and more as we learn terrible secrets that could bring the new team to their knees before they even have a chance to get started. There's a traitor in their midst and it’s not who you think!
Really proud of this issue, it came together great! Burnham and Reber are a dream team on art and Brosseau on letters is the perfect choice for this book. I did okay on the writing too! Here’s some preview pages:
Since we have a new issue out that means it’s time to gather questions for our unofficial letter column: THE DOOMSCROLL! Leave them in the comments below and I’ll round them up for a newsletter next week.
The FINAL ORDER CUTOFF for Unstoppable Doom Patrol issue 3 is THIS SUNDAY so make sure you let your comic store know you want it or just go ahead and put the whole series on your pull list. This is the best way to guarantee we’ll have more issues after this initial series.
Here’s the cover for issue 3 where we find our team on the run from the GREEN LANTERNS!
Featuring these two already solicited variant covers by Alan Quah and Mikel Janin:
ALSO! To round out our trilogy of character driven variant covers like the Scratch off Jane cover for #1 and Glow-in-the-dark Negative Man cover for #2 we’ve added a bonus FOIL cover featuring Robotman illustrated by the series writer (that’s me!)
It’s gonna look rad in foil. Tell your comic shop if you want one this week so they know to order it!
Can’t wait to hear what you think about issue 2.
Fantastic second issue, with some nice easter eggs for the Doom Patrol faithful (Hank!) and a couple of genuinely emotional moments with Cliff that were exceptionally executed. Gotta give props to Burnham for his cutaway diagram game in this issue. You guys are doing great work, stay the course!
This series really just goes from strength to strength!
Unstoppable Doom Patrol #1 was my first ever introduction to this team, my first standing order at my local comic shop and Issue #2 really expanded the world further and, via the focal character of Worm, helped introduce us to the wider world of the Doom Patrol team 🙂
Great work by everyone involved (Chris Burnham really killed it with the double page splashes this issus- especially with the cutaway of the shelter and Velvets vent adventures) and I can't wait to read the next issue!
Interested to see how Peacemakers plans develop over the upcoming issues as well as Dr Immortus and Malah's machinations.
Super long post, a little too in depth, but this is such a great series so far and I can't wait to read more of it!
