The DOOM PATROL are BACK!

This week sees the release of our 10 page Unstoppable Doom Patrol in LAZARUS PLANET: DARK FATE #1. Written by me with line art by Chris Burnham, colors by Brian Reber, Letters by Steve Wands and edited by Rebecca Bohanan and Paul Kaminski.

This story tees up the Doom Patrol run and teases the new status quo. We also introduce some characters that will play a role in the upcoming series so you don’t want to miss this one.

During the events of the Lazarus Planet crossover, a Lazarus Pit has a magic fueled volcanic eruption that leads to storms all over the world raining down all sorts of havoc on the DCU. Because of this, there are now more metahumans than ever emerging. While some become superheroes or even villains many become outcasts in society hunted by sinister forces who want to exploit them. Most go into hiding where they fester alone in the dark, Ticking timebombs that can only be saved by the UNSTOPPABLE DOOM PATROL.

The Doom Patrol’s new mission is saving the world by saving the monsters and they don’t care who gets in their way!

This week’s story is your chance to get in on the ground floor of our book ahead of the series launch on 3/28.

The plan is to do a 6 issue series each year with Burnham and the rest of the team like a prestige TV series but that will only happen if the orders are strong for this first series.
